Enacted in 2004 to address labor disputes, PAGA has faced criticism for causing delays and providing insufficient restitution for workers over the past two decades. In response, advocates have qualified an initiative for the November 2024 ballot, while actively engaging with elected officials and stakeholders to explore legislative solutions that better serve the interests of California's small businesses and workers. At this webinar, you will hear from members of the coalition, who will share an overview of the law and offer an update on their efforts to reform the statute.
